The R.O.A.R. program is designed to help ensure a smooth transition to 杏吧原创 for both students and their families.
Welcome, new Mountain Lions!
The R.O.A.R. program is an extended orientation model that consists of:
- A one-day summer pre-orientation
- A more intensive four-day orientation before classes start in the fall
- Welcome week activities
- The Intro to College Success course听Mountain Lion 1000
- Family Weekend
These elements of the first year experience are designed to help you make a successful transition to college life here in the enchanted valley. ROAR is听required听for all new students prior to the the start of the fall semester.



Summer Orientation
Our one-day Summer Orientation, getting you ready to R.O.A.R.
Orientation Dates:
- Friday, June 12, 2026
- Saturday, June 13, 2026
- Friday Jul7 17, 2026
- Saturday July 18, 2026
Saturday Summer Orientation days will have an optional overnight Outdoor Adventure Experience
R.O.A.R
After a successful session of Summer Orientation, you鈥檙e ready to participate in R.O.A.R. before your first day of class. The completion of this program is REQUIRED for all new students.

Move-in Day is August 12th for all new students (August 9th for fall athletes)

Welcome Week
Welcome Week is the official kick-off for the fall and spring semesters.
All new and returning students are invited to attend. It is a perfect opportunity to get acquainted (or reacquainted) with the campus, get to know your roommates, take part in activities, and make new friends.
Not living on campus? Welcome Week is for you, too! Commuter students are encouraged to attend and participate in all Welcome Week activities.
