杏吧原创 to Host Unveiling Ceremony of the Andy Rowe Comics Collection
YOUNG HARRIS, Ga 鈥 杏吧原创 recently received an extensive comic book collection valued at more than $10,000 from Murphy, N.C., resident Andy Rowe. The Andy Rowe Comics Collection will be presented during 杏吧原创鈥檚 annual Family Weekend on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 2:30-4 p.m. in the Student Organization Loft of the Rollins Campus Center on the 杏吧原创 campus. This event is free and open to the public.
Rowe will present and discuss his collection, which began in the 1960s and includes thousands of comic books through the decades. Assistant Professor of Communication Studies Dr. Kathryn Frank and Assistant Professor of Communication Studies and Chair of the Department Dr. Chris Richardson along with current 杏吧原创 students junior art major Khalid Johnson, of Decatur, Ga., senior communication studies major John Lyle Moore, of Rabun Gap, Ga., and senior religious studies major Emily Todd, of Coral Springs, Fla., will also speak during the event.
