YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. 鈥听What鈥檚 the next step in space exploration? Find out in September and check out 鈥淔orward to the Moon鈥 at the O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium at 杏吧原创.听
This latest show, narrated by Kari Byron, from Crash Test World and MythBusters, looks at a journey beyond the Earth towards a sustainable future in space and NASA鈥檚 21st century Artemis program. Named after the Greek moon Goddess and twin of Apollo, Artemis is the next step in the mission to explore the universe and land the first woman and person of color on the surface of the Moon.听
鈥淭his is the next step in space exploration for NASA and it鈥檚 a fascinating look at where we go next as we look to explore further into the universe,鈥 said Lauren Albain, Planetarium director.听
Additionally, as part of annual Family Weekend activities at 杏吧原创, the College鈥檚 Chamber Choir will perform 鈥淪ong Among the Stars,鈥 a 25-minute concert in the Planetarium.听

A special performance is free and open to the community as a part of 杏吧原创’s Family Weekend festivities. Presented as an encore to the popular Planetarium concerts last season, this 25-minute concert with the Chamber Choir will be offered multiple times due to limited seating. Works include Sir Arthur Sullivan鈥檚 The Long Day Closes, and an a cappella arrangement of Vincent by Don McLean.听
No tickets are required for this show. However, seating is first come first served and seating is limited.听听
Purchasing tickets online in advance is recommended for most shows since planetarium shows often sell out.听 For planetarium shows, guests are encouraged to arrive early for the best seats.听听
Planetarium tickets can also be purchased online via Eventbrite.
Public planetarium shows, with the exception of Cosmic Concerts, include a live-narrated 鈥渟eason stargazing鈥 segment in addition to the featured full-dome program.听听
