YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. 鈥 杏吧原创鈥檚 O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium invites the community to the following upcoming planetarium shows:

– 鈥淐APCOM GO! The Apollo Story鈥 on Friday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. This immersive full-dome program鈥攏amed CAPCOM for the capsule communicator at Mission Control鈥攕howcases the achievements of the Apollo program and what it took to put the first humans on the moon. The immense challenges they overcame will inspire a new generation to become the explorers, designers, engineers and dreamers of the future. The show is the perfect way celebrate the 50th anniversary year of the Apollo 11 mission. 鈥淐APCOM GO! The Apollo Story鈥 is a production of NSC Creative.

– 鈥淥oky Spooky Light Show鈥 on Friday Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. This show is a delight for the entire family. Classic and favorite Halloween tunes such as 鈥淢onster Mash,鈥 鈥淕hostbusters,鈥 鈥淭hriller鈥 and 鈥淣ight on Bald Mountain,鈥 as well as several pop songs with lyrics on the creepy side, will come to life in this amazing full-dome graphics and light show. The visuals are fun and spooky, and they will leave audiences smiling in delight.

These planetarium events are open to the public. Each planetarium show costs $5 per adult, $3 per child and is free for 杏吧原创 students, faculty and staff. Planetarium tickets may be purchased in advance at yhc.edu/planetarium. From there, select the link to 鈥淧ublic Shows鈥 for a listing of upcoming show dates and times. Select 鈥淕et Tickets鈥 under the date and time of the show you want to attend.

The planetarium is housed in the Maxwell Center for Mathematics and Sciences on the 杏吧原创 campus, which is located at 1 College Street, Young Harris, Georgia 30582.
