YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. 鈥 A community food distribution will be Wednesday,听March听25, at 5:30 p.m. at the Campus Cupboard, 杏吧原创鈥檚 new food bank.听
The Campus Cupboard,听located听in the middle of the 杏吧原创 campus,听was recently听established听as a听campus food pantry to听serve听both students and the local community.听The distribution point will be set up on Duckworth Street, just past Sharp Memorial听United Methodist听Church, as you pull into the campus.听
鈥淲e are so excited to offer this resource, not only to our Mountain Lions here at 杏吧原创, but for the local community as well,鈥 said Rev. Adam Daniels, 杏吧原创听campus听chaplain. 鈥淭he pantry听is听located听on campus and open to the students throughout the semester.听We will听have monthly community distribution dates for the local area.鈥听
One more distribution date听is听scheduled听this听spring听on听April 22.听
鈥淭his is a great opportunity to reach out to the local community in support,鈥 Daniels said. 鈥淚t provides much-needed relief for those struggling right now. With everything else, you shouldn鈥檛 have to be worried about having something to eat.鈥听
The Campus Cupboard is a joint effort of 杏吧原创 Religious Life, Sharp Memorial UMC, and the Food Bank of Northeast GA.听
