
YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. — The O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium at Ӱԭ will host “Ooky Spooky Light Show” on Friday, October 21 at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., and on Friday, October 28 at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. The Planetarium is housed in the Maxwell Center for Mathematics and Sciences on the Ӱԭ campus, which is located at 1 College Street, Young Harris, Georgia. Admission to the show is $5 for adults, $3 for children 4 years and older, and free for children under 4 years old and for Ӱԭ students and employees with Ӱԭ ID.
This show is a delight for the entire family. Classic and favorite Halloween tunes such as “Monster Mash,” “Ghostbusters,” “Thriller,” and “Night on Bald Mountain,” as well as several pop songs with lyrics on the creepy side, come to life in this amazing full-dome graphics and light show. The visuals are fun, spooky, and leave audiences smiling in delight!
Planetarium tickets can be purchased in advance at yhc.edu/planetarium. From there, select the link to “Public Shows” for a listing of upcoming show dates and times. Each show listing has an option to purchase tickets. Click the show date you’d like to attend to buy tickets through the corresponding Eventbrite page. Any remaining tickets, if any, can be purchased at the door on the night of each show.
