The ACA is a non-profit consortium of independent colleges and universities in central Appalachia, bringing together 34 private four-year liberal arts institutions located in the central and southern Appalachian Mountains of Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
