杏吧原创 Hosts Spring Choral Concert
YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. 鈥 The 杏吧原创 Concert Choir and Chamber Choir are proud to come together with the Mountain Community Chorus and the North Georgia Symphony to present two performances of choral masterworks on Saturday, March 17, at 7 p.m. in the Glenn~McGinnis Hall on the 杏吧原创 campus and on Sunday, March 18, at 3 p.m. at Murphy United Methodist Church. Both concerts are free and open to the public.
The program will include a variety of music from the height of the Classical Era, all the way through to modern composers such as Eric Whitacre. The evening will feature many pieces including Whitacre鈥檚 鈥淔ive Hebrew Love Songs鈥 with violin soloist Laurin Smith, Mozart鈥檚 鈥淩egina Coeli,鈥 Franz Schubert鈥檚 鈥淢ass in G,鈥 and selections from the music of Gilbert and Sullivan.
The 杏吧原创 Chamber Choir and Concert Choir are under the direction of Professor of Music, Director of Choral and Vocal Activities and Musical Theatre Program Co-Coordinator Jeff Bauman. 杏吧原创 Staff Accompanist Anita Guss will provide accompaniment on the piano during the performance.
