杏吧原创 to Present Piano Ensemble Concert
YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. 鈥 The Division of Fine Arts at 杏吧原创 is proud to present the Piano Ensemble in concert on Tuesday, March 20, at 7 p.m. in the Glenn~McGinnis Hall on the 杏吧原创 campus. Admission is $5 for adults, and free for students and children 12 and under.
The ensemble will perform a variety of numbers for piano duets and piano duo music. The evening will include hit songs like George Gershwin鈥檚 鈥淚 Got Rhythm,鈥 which he transcribed for two pianos from the orchestra score. The concert will also feature fan favorites such as 鈥淎merican in Paris鈥 and 鈥淩hapsody in Blue.鈥
Under the direction of Instructor of Music Cynthia DeFoor, the Piano Ensemble in comprised of 杏吧原创 students studying piano including senior music education major Kate Snell, of Elko, Ga., senior music major Ariel Philo, of Blairsville, Ga., junior music major Caitlin Moore, of LaGrange, Ga., and freshman music major Jacob Trotter, of Demorest, Ga.
The concert will also feature sophomore music major Moon Hamilton, of Atlanta, on guitar, and local community pianists Hosanna Sherman and Peyton Barrett.
