杏吧原创 Presents Black History Month Lecture Series
YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. 鈥 杏吧原创鈥檚 History Department will present two special lectures in honor of Black History Month on Wednesday, Feb. 15, and Wednesday, Feb. 22, and 6 p.m. in the Wilson Lecture Hall of the Goolsby Center on the 杏吧原创 campus. The lectures are free and open to the public.
On Wednesday, Feb. 15, 杏吧原创鈥檚 Associate Professor of History Thomas Stearns, Ph.D., will present a lecture entitled 鈥淧ies and Quilts: Unsung Ladies of the Civil Rights Movement.鈥 Dalton State University鈥檚 Tammy K. Byron, Ph.D., will present 鈥淪omewhere a Real Bible: African American Slaves and Christian Religious Instruction in the Antebellum South鈥 the following week on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
This inaugural lecture series celebrates African American contributions to America鈥檚 past.
