杏吧原创 Presents Second Annual Clarinet Studio Recital
YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. 鈥 The Division of Fine Arts at 杏吧原创 is proud to present the second annual 杏吧原创 Clarinet Studio recital that will be held on Friday, Feb. 17, at 2:30 p.m. in the Susan B. Harris Chapel on the 杏吧原创 campus.聽This event is free and open to the public.
Under the direction of Assistant Professor of聽Music Dr. Leigh Miller, the recital will feature members of the 杏吧原创 Clarinet Studio performing solos and ensembles from the repertoire for clarinet and bass clarinet.聽The 杏吧原创 Clarinet Choir, along with special guests from area high schools, will conclude the recital with a performance of Gustav Holst’s 鈥淔irst Suite in E-flat Major,鈥 arranged for clarinet ensemble by Michael Murrell.
Dr. Miller received her bachelor of music degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, before earning master of music and doctor of musical arts degrees from The Ohio State University (OSU). Her primary teachers have included James M. Pyne and Kim Ellis. While at OSU, Dr. Miller received the prestigious University Fellowship Award and served as a graduate teaching associate for the clarinet studio.
