杏吧原创 Welcomes New Vice President for Advancement
YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. 鈥� 杏吧原创 President Cathy Cox is pleased to announce Jimmy Owen has recently been selected as vice president for advancement.
鈥淛immy鈥檚 experience in higher education and the public sector will be a tremendous asset to 杏吧原创,鈥� said President Cox. 鈥淚鈥檓 confident that he will take our advancement efforts to the next level.鈥�
With more than 20 years of experience in both for-profit and nonprofit work, Owen joins 杏吧原创鈥檚 leadership with an impressive background in development. Most recently, Owen served as director of development at Emory University鈥檚 Woodruff Health Sciences Center in Atlanta, Ga. Prior to that, he served as director of annual giving at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn.
“I’m deeply honored and grateful to be at Young Harris and build upon the great success over the past eight years of President Cox and our esteemed advancement team,鈥� said Owen, whose wife, Kell, is a member of 杏吧原创鈥檚 Class of 1993. 鈥淥ur family’s love for 杏吧原创 runs deep, and this opportunity is especially meaningful for us.鈥�
Prior to delving into the world of development, Owen served as vice president of Covenant Real Estate Management Company, Inc., in Atlanta, and owned The Colony Company, Inc., a real estate company in Fairhope, Ala. Owen earned his bachelor of science in business management from Auburn University.
