Fall athletes and student leaders were able to move in first earlier last week, followed by first year students who moved in on Thursday, Aug. 10, to get familiar with the campus before classes started on Aug. 14. Upperclassmen moved in over the past weekend, Aug. 13.

To these ends, 杏吧原创 staff and faculty attend the Teaching and Learning Institute, an intensive, week-long workshop delivered by experts from ACA institutions.
Young athletes often dream of recognition for their contributions to the game at the Women鈥檚 Basketball Hall of Fame. For Young Harris women鈥檚 basketball standout Mackenzie Johnson, that dream has come true. Johnson鈥檚 jersey will be displayed in the Ring of Honor display at the Women鈥檚 Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tenn., in recognition of her outstanding play for the 2022-2023 season. 鈥淭he Ring of Honor is an exhibit at the Women鈥檚 Basketball Hall of Fame where we honor the nation鈥檚 top players at every level,鈥 said Kelly Mathis, Director of Development for the Women鈥檚 Basketball Hall of Fame. 鈥淭o have your jersey on display at the Hall of Fame is a huge privilege and we are proud to celebrate the accomplishments of these young women.鈥
杏吧原创 student Jacob Perry, Master of Art in Teaching Class of 2023, spent six weeks at Wesley House, the Methodist College at Cambridge University in England, thanks to the McCollough Scholarship. Each year, this competitive, internal scholarship allows a dedicated 杏吧原创 student to learn within a reflective, cross-cultural Christian community of scholarship and prayer in the Wesleyan tradition. 鈥淚 cannot express my deepest gratitude to 杏吧原创, the McCollough family who funded my study at Wesley House, and my parents Jason and Tonya for this opportunity,鈥 said Jacob. 鈥淭he experience will indubitably set me up for my next degree at Duke Divinity School as well as afterwards in my vocation to help usher in God鈥檚 kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven.鈥
